Killer QR Codes - A QR Code Game for Juvenile’s with ASBO Mentality
By andy | February 21, 2008
When I said I thought QR codes would be big… I actually thought they would be. When I found a GAME had been devised using QR Codes - I was disappointed!
It seems that this game (first played for real back in January at a shopping center in Barcelona) was enjoyable for all those who entered. Personal I think its a waste of what could be a technology put to much better use. Running around a shopping center scanning other people really doesn’t appeal to me. The rules of “QR-Kill” are outlined below. Just in case you find a bunch of mates wearing hoodies wanting to cause havoc in Bluewater!
QR-Kill - The Aim
The aim is to be the last person alive. To kill an opponent - scan their QR Code and send them the contents (their code will reveal their name & number). This is known as “the deathly SMS”. Any player receiving “the deathly SMS” is out, the winner is the only person to not receive “the deathly SMS”. If the winner is contested or close - the time of “the deathly SMS” is taken to define the winner.
QR-Kill - Preparation
- Print a QR code (SMS Format) which includes your name and phone number.
- Stick code one your back.
- Ensure your hoodie doesn’t cover the code.
- Smile and wave goodbye to any “street credibility” that you had.
QR-Kill - Rules
