Impulse Buying (ViewSonic 32″ LCD TV: N3246W)

If I were to describe myself (with regards to technology purchasing) I would say I am an impulse buyer, for those who want proof - read on…
I thought it would be a good idea if I had an LCD television on my wall, I don’t watch much TV - but I thought it would be a good idea. I looked around and found a few I like but sensibly set myself a budget (£450). I look at Currys (online) and a few local shops (including ASDA), after a few hours of looking around I had the following options:
- A Goodmans 32″ LCD TV available at my local ASDA store, hit the budget spot on at £449.99 (Model: GTVL32W8HD).
- A ViewSonic 32″ LCD TV available at my local Currys store, coming in under budget at £399 (Model: N3246W).
I compared the features of both the TVs and they both almost matched on specification. I went on aesthetic looks and decided on the Goodmans GTL32W8HD from ASDA, went to my local store to find they didn’t have any in stock. So as the spec. of both TVs were close - I thought I’d pick up the ViewSonic N3246W from Currys, only to find out the only one that they had was the display model!
Eventually I picked up the ViewSonic from Currys (in Leeds) around 70 Miles away from home. Later that evening the TV was wall mounted (using an affordable bracket from Asda)!
A review of the ViewSonic N3246W 32″ LCD TV will be available shortly, a preview of the review is below:
